Our Client is the Captive unit of a Fortune 100 company, This is a role that anchors significant chunk of Global Payroll operations. Location- Delhi NCR

Summary:

The GM Payroll Services is responsible for leading the delivery of end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and stakeholder engagement while driving process improvements and leading a team of payroll managers. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, implementing process enhancements, managing compliance and risk, developing the team, and fostering employee satisfaction and engagement.

Key Result Areas:

Payroll Operations Management:

  • Lead the delivery of end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll files, payments, and regulatory tasks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and reduce overall payroll costs within budget
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management:
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as HR, finance, and vendors, to address payroll- related requirements and resolve inquiries
  • Provide expert guidance on payroll matters, leveraging industry knowledge and experience
  • Process Improvement and Innovation:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the payroll function
  • Lead the implementation of high-impact process improvements, leveraging technology and best practices

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal control standards for payroll processing
  • Develop and maintain robust controls to minimize errors and risks
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of payroll managers, ensuring their professional growth and development

Person Profile:

  • A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required
  • -15-25 years of experience in payroll processing or related roles, with progressive leadership responsibilities
  • – Strong knowledge of end-to-end payroll processes, regulations, and payroll policies
  • – Demonstrated experience in managing teams and providing effective leadership
  • – In-depth understanding of compliance requirements and control frameworks related to payroll processing
  • – Proficiency in using payroll software or systems for data entry, calculations, and generating reports. Familiarity with SAP or other payroll systems is advantageous
  • – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at various levels
  • – Analytical mindset and ability to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
